Job Title: Mental Health Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health concerns.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote cognitive, social, physical, and emotional development.
  • Conduct group sessions to teach skills and behaviors that align with treatment goals.
  • Observe and record patient behaviors, write progress notes, and communicate with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Assist with behavior management and crisis intervention by creating learning opportunities and utilizing intervention techniques.
  • Enhance communication among staff through shift reports, team logs, and staff meetings.
  • Assist with facility staffing needs by working with various populations to support continuity of care and services.
  • Conduct continuous rounding to assess and monitor patients and proactively prevent or respond to potential crisis situations.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, 2+ years of experience working directly with children in a therapeutic setting or QMHP-C certification and no experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • QMHP-C certification.
  • 4+ years of child and adolescent in-patient (residential or acute) psychiatry.
