Your Responsibilities:
Trane Technologies is seeking a Materials Supervisor. The individual in this role will oversee inventory management strategies, ensure timely material delivery, and lead various inventory initiatives within the manufacturing facility. This position plays a crucial role in promoting lean practices and continuous improvement within the plant. Key performance indicators for this role include inventory accuracy, timely kitting fill rates, and efficient material handling.
  • Serve as the primary authority for inventory oversight and strategy for offsite warehouse operations.
  • Optimize materials management processes, including inventory planning and storage methodologies.
  • Implement and uphold the cycle count and physical inventory standard work playbook processes to achieve top-tier inventory management.
  • Identify and develop solutions for underperforming processes.
  • Manage materials and inventory in alignment with Lean Six-Sigma manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure inventory alignment with the established SIOP consensus plan.
Your Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in materials management functions.
  • At least 1 year of managerial or leadership experience focusing on resource planning and talent development.
  • Experience in rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing settings.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, MRP, visual management systems, scheduling, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
This position has been classified as Safety Sensitive.
