Job Purpose:

Execute production and developmental biasing, tuning, testing, and troubleshooting for RF Passive and Active electronic hardware, with a strong emphasis on thin film technology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate performance verification for flight hardware related to Power & Controls Sub-Systems, RF Systems, and Spacecraft Systems.
  • Conduct intricate electrical, mechanical, and environmental setups.
  • Implement spacecraft and antenna instrumentation.
  • Carry out electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) verification.
  • Support vibration and shock testing.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections during integrated setups and performance verification sequences.
  • Operate thermal vacuum chambers while conducting electrical verification of hardware.
  • Execute complex electrical setups, quality inspections, and product performance verification during flight unit level vibration tests.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairs on thermal vacuum chambers for flight hardware.
  • May operate vibration testing equipment.
  • Provide training to peers and may be requested to offer leadership as necessary.
  • Utilize microscopes, lab equipment, drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM) to verify manufacturing processes.
  • Operate vibration equipment, contributing to the electrical setup and verification processes.
  • Program and manage the Manufacturing Defect Analysis System, interpreting results, troubleshooting issues, and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborate with Design and Test Engineers to facilitate troubleshooting and assist in determining resolutions to problems.
Qualifications and Education:

  • Associate's degree, Electronics Technician Certificate, or completion of Military Electronics training. Two additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in electronics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to utilize small hand tools for measuring and testing electronic devices.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Navy Nuclear Electronics Technician (ET) or Electrician's Mate (EM) background.
