Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Bishop John Snyder High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to high school students and contributing to the school's mission to educate, evangelize, and catechize youth in a Catholic school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Mathematics to high school students, including Algebra I and 7th/8th grade Math.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the academic goals and objectives of the school.
  • Integrate Catholic religious curriculum into the Mathematics program.
  • Build the school's faith community by participating in school religious and service-related activities.
  • Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes self-direction and a positive self-image.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and registered member of a Catholic parish faith community.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Educator certification in the State of Florida or eligible for certification to teach 7th/8th grade Math and high school Algebra I.
  • Basic Diocesan Ministry Certification.
  • Ability to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines and laws of the Roman Catholic faith.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate school-related events.
Working Conditions

The work environment is a Catholic high school with a moderate noise level. The position may require some evening and weekend hours.
