The Client Relationship Banker engages in a proactive, consultative approach to banking, fostering customer connections grounded in trust while identifying financial requirements and proposing suitable solutions.

Your role encompasses supporting branch operations, delivering an exceptional and memorable client experience, achieving sales objectives, and managing service inquiries.

Additional responsibilities will be assigned, and you must thrive in a collaborative environment that demands multitasking, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Proactively welcome customers by managing the lobby to connect with them, assess their reasons for visiting, and address their needs accordingly.

With a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism, you will deliver outstanding customer service by processing all transactions related to the branch.

Stay informed and knowledgeable about all of the Bank's offerings to effectively communicate with both new and existing clients.

Maintain records of customers interested in future financial discussions and relevant customer details, including notes on potential future needs for financial services/products.

Initiate contact with customers to present pre-approved financial product/service offers or to provide a general financial overview, scheduling meetings for structured financial reviews to understand their financial situations.

Based on customer needs, recommend services/products that would assist them in achieving their financial goals. Cultivate customer loyalty and expand the customer base through a unique customer experience. Educate clients on managing financial transactions using technology, tools, and resources.

Clearly and accurately communicate the benefits, requirements, and any associated fees or costs of financial products/services to customers.

Identify and refer customers to other Bank associates or departments when appropriate for discussions on specific financial products/services.


Operational/Regulatory/Security Responsibilities:


Participate in daily branch operations, which may include transaction servicing on the platform or in the sales associate area.

Adhere to all departmental and company policies, procedures, and security protocols.

Alert appropriate Bank personnel when a situation presents potential risks or when a customer exhibits suspicious behavior.

Collaborate with other departments as needed to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

Contribute to achieving monthly branch and/or individual scorecard goals consistently by monitoring your performance and following action plans.

Determine when to make policy exceptions within established guidelines (e.g., fee waivers, funds availability) to maintain positive customer relations.

May oversee branch opening and closing procedures.

Support the Bank's objectives and goals by functioning as a team member in coordinating and allocating workflow.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

A minimum of three (3) years of professional customer contact and service experience, or at least two (2) years of prior experience in a banking environment, preferably in a branch, is required.

Prior experience in handling and being accountable for money is essential.

Ability to successfully complete the Bank's in-house Training Program within a reasonable timeframe is required.

Demonstrate a professional, sales-oriented, and relationship-building demeanor.

Basic math calculation skills are required.

Ability to interact confidently with clients is essential.

Initiative in self-directed learning of the Bank's products/services to become well-versed in offerings is crucial.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) is required.

Understanding and working knowledge of core banking systems is beneficial.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate in a team environment is essential.

Demonstrated professionalism is required.

Ability to travel within the branch region of up to 15%.

Essential Functions:

Sitting and standing for extended periods.

Ability to reach over the teller counter or desk area to receive customer transaction documents.

Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.

Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within the organization.

Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data.

Ability to travel via automobile or public transportation.
