Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to assist patients in enhancing their mobility and achieving their rehabilitation goals. You will collaborate closely with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, providing care to individuals facing medical challenges or conditions that hinder their functional activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver selected care components and interventions with technical proficiency.
- Effectively instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises.
- Assess patient needs while demonstrating compassion and understanding of individual differences.
- Advise on treatment options and modifications to ensure patient safety, comfort, and progress.
- Utilize the latest research to aid in restoring function, alleviating symptoms, and preventing injuries.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support the provision of physical therapy services.
- Conduct data collection and ensure precise information gathering.
- Monitor patient performance and update medical records accordingly.
- Engage in patient status evaluations.
- Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in practice.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and staying current in the field.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong understanding of physiology and best practices in the field.
- Practical experience with therapeutic exercises and physical modalities.
- Effective communication and instructional skills.
- Proficient in healthcare administration and documentation.
- Valid license or relevant certification to practice.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Preferred: CPR Certification.
