Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to assist patients in enhancing their mobility and achieving their rehabilitation goals. You will collaborate closely with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, providing care to individuals facing medical challenges or conditions that hinder their functional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver selected care components and interventions with technical proficiency.
  • Effectively instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises.
  • Assess patient needs while demonstrating compassion and understanding of individual differences.
  • Advise on treatment options and modifications to ensure patient safety, comfort, and progress.
  • Utilize the latest research to aid in restoring function, alleviating symptoms, and preventing injuries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support the provision of physical therapy services.
  • Conduct data collection and ensure precise information gathering.
  • Monitor patient performance and update medical records accordingly.
  • Engage in patient status evaluations.
  • Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in practice.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and staying current in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Strong understanding of physiology and best practices in the field.
  • Practical experience with therapeutic exercises and physical modalities.
  • Effective communication and instructional skills.
  • Proficient in healthcare administration and documentation.
  • Valid license or relevant certification to practice.
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Preferred: CPR Certification.
