Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analyses on extensive and intricate data sets, delivering strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions to stakeholders across various levels.
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to enhance Tesla's data, reporting, and analytics frameworks.
- Develop, maintain, and refine data models, forecasting models, dashboards, and data pipelines.
- Establish reliable and scalable 'single-source-of-truth' data sets by partnering with data quality and application engineering teams to resolve data discrepancies in upstream systems and document data lineage, business logic, and KPI definitions.
- Work alongside business analysts to automate manual processes and empower them with the necessary tools and skills for self-sufficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Applied Statistics or a related field.
- Proficient in SQL with experience in both established and emerging BI databases, technologies, and languages.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, R, and Tableau.
- Expertise in advanced Excel BI functionalities and languages, including Power Query (M) and PowerPivot (DAX).
- Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial modeling.
- Experience with enterprise systems and knowledge of data design patterns between transactional ERP systems and analytical data warehouses.
- Ability to initiate and direct work independently in an unstructured environment, with comfort in navigating ambiguity.
