Position Overview: The State of Washington is seeking a dedicated Fiscal Analyst 2 to join the Facilities & Analytics Administration within the Office of Financial Recovery (OFR). This role is essential in providing comprehensive billing, accounting, and debt collection services across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret financial records to uphold accounting integrity in recovery operations.
  • Manage the establishment, billing, payment posting, and refunds for multiple business lines.
  • Address a high volume of inquiries regarding complex billing and payment issues.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and setting up ACH debit accounts in the online payment system.
  • Generate analytical reports to assess suspense balance payments.
  • Process refunds and establish receivables for vendor overpayments.
  • Communicate effectively with program partners and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Educational background: 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
  • A Bachelor's degree in any field or five years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • A Master's degree in a financial discipline or relevant certifications may substitute for experience.
