About the Position
The Department of History of Art at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary non-tenure track Lecturer positions to teach courses in History of Art. These courses include, but are not limited to, courses in Contemporary Art, Greek and Roman Art and Architecture, European Art, American Art, Asian Art and the art of other Non-Western regions, Reading and Composition and Digital Humanities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses in History of Art, including but not limited to, Contemporary Art, Greek and Roman Art and Architecture, European Art, American Art, Asian Art and the art of other Non-Western regions, Reading and Composition and Digital Humanities.
- Hold office hours, assign grades, advise students, prepare course materials (e.g., syllabus), and interact with students outside of class time via email and campus web-based course resources.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree or enrolled in an advanced degree program at the time of application.
- For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant college-level teaching experience.
