Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Director to join our team at Frontier Management (OR). As a Recreation Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing recreational therapy programs aimed at improving the quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that our programs are aligned with the residents' medical and therapeutic needs.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of recreation therapists and assistants to support the delivery of our programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and manage budgets for recreation programs and services.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Recreation Therapist in accordance with the State's Public Health Code is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  • The ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Tactful communication skills when interacting with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Possess patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with a willingness to handle residents at their current level of functioning.
