Job Opportunity

The Automotive Mechanic/Technician at Firestone Jackson will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.

This is a full-time or part-time, individual contributor role located in Jackson Township, New Jersey.

The successful candidate will be a skilled mechanic with experience in the auto industry and will work with a team of technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and fluid checks, brakes.
  • Diagnose and repair various automotive issues, such as engine, transmission, and electrical problems, AC & Heat problems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standard.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for future maintenance.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an automotive mechanic/technician.
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must have own tools and be able to use diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
