Job Description

As a Healthcare Medication Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and administering routine and PRN medications to patients as prescribed by physicians and documenting administration per policy. You will also maintain medication supply, clean and restock medicine carts and medicine rooms, notify pharmacy of new medication orders and refills, and perform accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy.

You will work under the direction of a licensed nurse and adhere to the standards of practice as permitted by your Certification and state regulations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A STATE APPROVED MEDICATION AIDE TRAINING COURSE
  • COMPLETION OF A STATE APPROVED CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM
  • MUST BE A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT WITH ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE AS A CNA
  • MUST BE ABLE TO READ, WRITE, SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
