At GE Aerospace, we're looking for a skilled Configuration Management Professional to join our team. This role is responsible for actively managing engineering design data throughout the product lifecycle in accordance with program requirements.
The successful candidate will assist with providing consistency between the product and its configuration information, establishing a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for assigned programs. Product categories include documents, hardware, software, tools, materials, processes, and systems.
This role involves functioning as a change administrator in accordance with the 5 Pillars of CM, ensuring any changes to product information are identified, approved, verified, and recorded in sufficient detail to produce and support the product throughout its life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Chairperson for Configuration Control Board (CCB)
- Process and monitor engineering changes
- Evaluate/implement Design & Bill of Material changes & coordinate the introduction of the change within engineering and manufacturing environment
- Technical point of contact for day-to-day activities related to processing both hardware and software assets
- Provide back-up support for PM / Data Managers for Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL) & other CM/DM duties
- Monitor and update data in company PDM/MRP environment
- Support Physical/Functional Configuration Audits
- Support CM Supervisor as required
- Travel as required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Configuration Management
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Configuration Management
