Job Description:

Under general direction, performs assignments requiring application of Industry standard Configuration Management practices and principles supporting development and production environments for multiple programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform configuration management duties verifying various types of Design, Product Definition and Operations data including verifications and management of Class I and Class II engineering changes for and accuracy including: configuration identification, bill-of-materials, relationships and affected documents.

  • Perform Data Management Activities by supporting programs with contract data deliverables to external customers, as well as supporting management of data with suppliers.

  • Participate in preparation for and leadership of Configuration Control Boards.

  • Represent Configuration Management within cross-functional teams providing guidance and support for configuration management practices, principles, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Configuration Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Configuration Management experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and processes are required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

  • Working knowledge of Configuration Management practices and principles and knowledge of ISO10007 and EIA649 required.

  • Knowledge of PTC Windchill a plus.

  • CMII or CMPIC certification desired.

  • Knowledge of design, development and manufacture of mechanical and electrical systems desired.
