Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled accounting professional to manage financial records for ALL Green Fields PK-12 and Sweet P's Pre-K.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Perform daily financial operations.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive Chart of Accounts.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closures, along with generating relevant reports.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal staff.
- Ensure proper backup for each financial entity.
- Input tuition fees, customer payments, and donations into accounting software.
- Prepare deposits, ensuring all checks are copied for record-keeping and reviewed by management.
- Manage the deposit process at designated financial institutions.
- Reconcile accounts as necessary.
- Maintain accurate A/R documentation.
- Process approved invoices received through various channels.
- Enter data into accounting software and prepare checks, which require management approval and signatures.
- Reconcile accounts as necessary and ensure vendor statements align with actual payments.
- Maintain organized A/P vendor documentation.
- Share responsibilities with the Office Manager.
- Participate in interviews as needed.
- Keep new hire documentation current.
- Input new employee information and changes into payroll and retirement systems.
- Prepare spreadsheets for annual salary adjustments for management review.
- Update employee contracts annually.
- Maintain comprehensive HR records.
- Develop a payroll calendar annually.
- Ensure timely payroll processing on scheduled dates.
- Generate reports for hourly staff based on timekeeping data.
- Verify payroll amounts for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Distribute payroll checks and stubs to designated points of contact.
- Create detailed payroll breakdowns for each pay period.
- Manage employee 401(k) contributions and maintain payroll records for inquiries.
- Ensure timely filing of necessary tax forms for non-profit organizations.
- Manage extensions for tax filings as required.
