Job Title: Residential Support Staff

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Support Staff at North Suffolk Community Services Inc.

About the Role

As a Residential Support Staff, you will provide direct care to individuals living in a residential setting, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being. You will work collaboratively with a team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to residents in skills building and daily living activities
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans, ensuring resident-centered care
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, money management, and personal hygiene
  • Engage residents in activities promoting health and wellness, symptom stabilization, and self-management
  • Ensure appropriate staff-to-client ratio at all times
  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with residents
  • Provide side-by-side support and coaching to help residents socialize and become more involved in their community
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Zero to six years of related experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to become MAP certified
  • CPR/First Aid certification within five months of hire
