We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide general secretarial and administrative support for Kinder Morgan Energy Partners operations with a focus on accounts payable. The successful candidate will be responsible for screening and routing mail and phone calls, receptionist duties, accounts payable processing, maintaining records and files, and preparing correspondence and reports as directed by regional managers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general secretarial support, including routine copying, mailing, and faxing.
- Process regional invoices into the Lawson Accounts Payable system, including PAWS and AP problem research.
- Input Purchasing Card and Vehicle Card dump sheets.
- Serve as the regional focal point for Lawson AP questions, training, and conflict resolution.
- Prepare correspondence, compose memos, and reports as directed by regional managers.
- Receive and screen incoming calls on multiple lines and greet/screen people entering the Regional office.
- Plan and coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
- Maintain office supplies and requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
- Support the Operations Administrator as needed.
- Ensure a safe working environment and maintain a high regard for personal safety, company assets, employees, and the general public.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- College degree a plus.
- A minimum of one to three years of administrative/secretarial experience.
- Excellent word processing, grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
- Proven organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent knowledge of Lawson preferred.
- Knowledge of pipeline operations.
