Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Maintenance Manager to join our team at Residence Inn Idaho Falls. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our hotel's engineering department, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance associates to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving issues promptly.
  • Train, mentor, and counsel colleagues to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain the hotel's electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pool, lighting, and HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain the hotel's inventory of tools, parts, and materials, ensuring that they are adequate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to ensure that all equipment and systems are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with hotel goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including those related to safety, health, and environmental protection.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in electrical, plumbing, or other related fields a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance or engineering, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of hospitality engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality service.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 75 pounds, bend, and reach, as well as work in extreme temperatures.
