Job Summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled General Foreman to join our Site Support department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum operation and service to tenants and programs, while supporting policies and goals of the Central Facilities Site Operations Maintenance and Support division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and progression of first-line supervisors across multiple departments and varying personnel.
  • Collaborate with subordinate supervisors, functional peer groups, and upline management to achieve shared goals.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to personnel performing maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution, with a focus on minimizing downtime in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure safety-related programs are inherently embedded into maintenance planning and work execution, including fire protection, electrical safety, confined space entry, and lock-out/tag-out programs.
  • Work with outside suppliers, contractors, Division Directors, and other levels in the organization to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide line management responsibilities to supervisors and leadership to all maintenance craft at Central Facilities.
  • May oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Develop and administer schedules, and performance standards for the organizational unit, taking actions to manage costs related to the section.
  • Receive assignments based on incremental goals and defined processes.
  • Provide recommendations for performance management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'L' clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
