About the Role

As a Fault Management Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development of the SV Fault Management CONOPS, Operational Plans, Analysis, Software implementation, and Test Plans utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering. You will also lead the development of tools, processes, and procedures to automate the generation, test, and configuration management of fault and response definition tables and operational input files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the SV Fault Management CONOPS, Operational Plans, Analysis, Software implementation, and Test Plans utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Develop innovative tools and methods for interfacing and automating tasks with Cameo MBSE software, GitLab, Jira, and other engineering applications.
  • Lead the Fault Management Working Group to coordinate the integration of multiple component Fault Management Systems into an integrated solution, review the system-level Fault Management Implementation, Verification, and Validation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related subject area, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with one or more Systems Engineering functions, including system trade studies, CONOPS, and/or system modeling, requirements, interface control document (ICD), or interface definition document (IDD) development, system integration, fault management, test, and/or verification, test planning, and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain and investigation completed within the last 5 years.
Desired Skills
  • 12+ years of experience with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile, and launch systems at the component through system level.
  • Experience in the development of Fault Management architectures and Functional Failure Analysis (FFA). Ability to coordinate the integration of these concepts into the software environment.
  • Experience verifying software functionality meets requirements and design objectives.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, etc).
  • Experience with a software scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, HTML, Matlab, Visual Basic, C/C++, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile workflows and software (Jira, GitLab).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.
  • Active TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance with the ability to maintain and investigation completed within the last 5 years.
