Job Overview

The Lead Care Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and services. As a leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Care Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure that our residents' individualized Service Plans are being met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervisory support to Care Managers, including taking attendance, managing call-offs, and sending open shift messages
  • Support team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents, including bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Encourage personalized and meaningful resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs
  • Assist with meal service in the dining room and coach team members on hospitality standards
  • Accurately document care and services provided to residents, reviewing care manager documentation throughout the shift
  • Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies
  • Display flexibility in work schedule, working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed
  • Prepare for shifts by obtaining resident group assignments and printing daily assignment sheets
  • Participate in crossover meetings to share pertinent information with other Lead Care Managers
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred and may be required per state regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with Care Managers, Community Managers, residents, and family members
  • In states where applicable, must maintain applicable certifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Medication Management Certificate required, with ongoing training and re-education per Sunrise and state requirements
  • Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors
  • Demonstrates leadership competencies, including delegating assignments, making choices and decisions, and acting in the residents' best interest
