Position Overview:

OpenGov is on the lookout for a talented Marketing Operations Specialist to become a vital part of our dynamic Revenue Operations team. This role will support Go-To-Market Leadership in various strategic, programmatic, and reporting functions. You will engage in a wide range of cross-functional tasks, including enhancing and scaling processes, managing marketing campaigns through our marketing automation and CRM systems, generating campaign and funnel reports, and driving analytical insights. Additionally, you will oversee the contact database and collaborate closely with the entire Marketing organization to ensure our marketing efforts are well-coordinated, executed, assessed, and optimized in conjunction with our Sales and Customer Success teams for maximum effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside cross-functional go-to-market partners (including growth marketing, sales operations, and customer success) to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Act as the primary owner of Marketo (or future marketing automation platforms), managing all campaigns and programs, and collaborating with the business systems team on CRM integration and process adjustments.
  • Drive the continuous development and enhancement of lead lifecycle workflows, data enrichment, lead scoring, segmentation, and multi-touch nurturing campaigns.
  • Oversee the contact database by implementing programs for regular updates, enrichment, cleansing, deduplication, and segmentation to uphold data quality.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to establish and document standards for marketing processes and campaign follow-up that support effective pipeline generation.
  • Create and maintain marketing dashboards to monitor and evaluate key metrics against targets and campaign performance, providing insights for improvement.
  • Partner with FP&A to analyze demand generation budgets and ROI reporting, ensuring accurate tracking of marketing expenditures against quarterly and annual plans.
  • Manage list imports and attribution reporting from various marketing activities to facilitate a smooth transition to the sales team.
  • Promote best practices in various marketing technologies, including Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and similar tools.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing operations role within a SaaS environment.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Marketo for managing lead databases and executing lead scoring and email nurturing campaigns.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, to streamline data analysis and reporting.
  • A growth mindset with a readiness to learn and adapt in the initial months.
  • Leadership abilities to take charge of the marketing operations function and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills to distill complex information and datasets into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment with a collaborative approach.
  • A passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to process improvement.

Compensation: $80,000 - $140,000 annually, with additional bonus eligibility.

The final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, expertise, and geographical location.
