Job Title: Principal Consultant - Data Modeling

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant - Data Modeling to join our team. As a key member of our data modeling team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data models that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Design and implement efficient database structures, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Optimize existing data models for better performance and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in database design and optimization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data models into overall system architecture.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless implementation of data models.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to project planning, providing accurate time estimates and ensuring timely delivery of data modeling tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of around 10 years as a Data Modeler with a focus on data projects.
  • Mandatory skills include strong proficiency in data modeling tools, Snowflake schema, logical model, data warehousing, and experience with AWS Redshift DB and deploying models into AWS.
  • In-depth knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with various database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with data governance practices and frameworks.
  • Project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
