SUTS Coordinator

The SUTS Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting individuals with active substance use issues as they transition out of jail and begin their recovery journey. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for providing excellent care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily care and support to members served, promoting a positive treatment experience
- Serve as a liaison between members served, their families, medical and mental health practitioners, and criminal justice agencies
- Ensure safety of members served through monitoring and observation of irregularities and ongoing member served needs
- Document members served movement in and out of the facility, verifying approved passes and providing transportation resources
- Assist with welcoming, admissions, and discharge processes, completing intake documentation and discharge paperwork
- Conduct regular rounds of the facility, ensuring member served safety and program participation
- Assist with medication monitoring, ensuring members served are engaged in the program schedule and structure
- Refer members served to their counselor for clinical support, assisting with scheduling and transportation to appointments
- Monitor and assist members served at mealtime, attending and participating in community meetings and groups
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) certification
- Demonstrated sensitivity to behavioral health issues and multi-cultural populations
- Strong focus and passion to provide excellent customer service
- CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification
- One year of practical experience in the drug and alcohol or mental health field
