Job Summary

The SUTS Coordinator provides daily care and support to members served, promoting a positive treatment experience. This role serves as a liaison between members served, their families, medical and mental health practitioners, and criminal justice agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of members served through monitoring and observation of irregularities and ongoing member served needs.
  • Document members served movement in and out of the facility by verifying approved passes and providing transportation resources to and from appointments.
  • Assist with welcoming, admissions, and discharge processes, including completing intake documentation and discharge paperwork.
  • Assist with outings for members served by driving the Program van and/or own vehicle.
  • Conduct regular rounds of the facility, ensuring member served safety and program participation.
  • Assist with medication monitoring as assigned.
  • Ensure members served are engaged in the program schedule and structure.
  • Assist members served with their needs and refer them to their counselor for clinical support.
  • Assist members served with scheduling and transportation to appointments both on and off site with doctors, family, and social service agencies.
  • Monitor and assist members served at mealtime.
  • Attend and participate in community meetings and groups.
  • Collect urine samples from members served, as assigned.
  • Help create a recovery environment through interactions with staff and members served.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) certification.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to behavioral health issues and multi-cultural populations.
  • Strong focus and passion to provide excellent customer service.
  • CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year practical experience in drug and alcohol or mental health field.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet search engines).
  • Understanding of assessment tools and Harm Reduction Model.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include sitting, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity, repetition, and driving, with exposure to uneven walking ground and hazardous materials.
