About the Role

The SUTS Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting individuals with active substance use issues as they transition out of jail and begin their recovery journey. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for providing excellent care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and support to members served, promoting a positive treatment experience
  • Serve as a liaison between members served, their families, medical and mental health practitioners, and criminal justice agencies
  • Ensure the safety of members served through monitoring and observation, and complete related documentation
  • Assist with medication monitoring, outings, and transportation to appointments
  • Conduct regular rounds of the facility, ensuring member served safety and program participation
  • Assist members served with their needs and refer them to their counselor for clinical support
  • Collect urine samples from members served, as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) certification
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to behavioral health issues and multi-cultural populations
  • Strong focus and passion to provide excellent customer service
  • CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification
