We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. As an EDT, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our emergency department team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist professional nurses in delivering patient care, including vital sign monitoring and emergency care
- Transport patients and equipment, set up and maintain patient rooms, and re-order supplies
- Provide patient care as directed by RN, including point-of-care testing, IV line setup, and specimen collection
- Assist with medical procedures and collect specimens under the direction of RN
- Document patient care activities and procedures on nursing records
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required upon hire
- One or more of the following: EMT or ERT certification, Paramedic Certification, or current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program
- Six months of recent direct patient care experience in an acute care, long-term care, or home care setting
- Previous Emergency Room experience as an Emergency Room Scribe, paramedic, ERT, EMT, EDT, or ED EMS
- Current CNA or NST experience
