Endoscopy Technician

Join Fairview Health Services as an Endoscopy Technician and be part of a dynamic team in our busy Endo/GI department at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota. Our department handles approximately 4,500 procedures per year, including colonoscopies, flexible sigmoidoscopies, EGD, bronchoscopies, ERCP, and EUS procedures.

• Assist in data collection to identify patient needs, problems, concerns, or human responses.
• Implement the established plan of care as delegated.
• Assist the physician and nurse before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Reprocess and maintain equipment according to standards of infection prevention.
• Provide and maintain a healthy and safe environment for patients and staff.

• 6 months experience working in an endoscopy or gastroenterology setting or cleaning endoscopy equipment.
• Ability to complete the SGNA GI Associates program to become a GI Technical Specialist (GTS) certification within one year of employment.
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare providers by start date.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech, Endoscopy Tech, or Instrument Tech (sterile processing) Program.
• Specialized training or education in gastroenterology.
• Work experience in an endo unit, GI unit, and cleaning of equipment.
