Job Overview

Sparks Group is partnering with a healthcare association to fill the role of Patient Advocacy Specialist. This position involves implementing patient advocacy strategies, coordinating state advocacy initiatives, and managing relationships with patient advocacy organizations.


Salary Range

The estimated hourly salary for this role is between $30.00 and $33.00, offering a competitive pay range for qualified candidates.


Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to advance patient advocacy goals.
  • Develop and implement state and patient advocacy priorities.
  • Research, develop, and disseminate patient advocacy resources.
  • Support state advocacy initiatives and grasstops efforts.
  • Manage relationships with patient advocacy organizations.
  • Assist with policy-related initiatives and advocacy events.
  • Engage with stakeholders and patient communities.
  • Provide logistical support for committees and events.
  • Monitor legislative developments and engage in advocacy activities.
  • Collaborate with state medical societies and sub-specialty organizations.
  • Develop written materials on legislative issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in patient advocacy.
  • Strong project management, event planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in public policy research and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
