Signal Processing Specialist

Role Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated signal processing specialist to join our Acoustics & Simulation Group. This role involves collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team engaged in diverse research initiatives, including commercial, military, and medical technology projects. The position emphasizes innovation and problem-solving, requiring effective collaboration with a diverse group of researchers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and creatively address complex challenges.
  • Conduct experiments independently while demonstrating inventiveness.
  • Contribute as an individual and lead project teams effectively.
  • Assume responsibility for project outcomes and nurture client relationships.
  • Oversee project timelines and identify potential risks.
  • Assist in business development through proposal creation and strategic partnership pursuits.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project advancements.

Qualifications

  • Versatile and adaptable, with a keen interest in expanding knowledge across scientific and technological domains.
  • Proficient in phased-array processing and array design.
  • Experience in Active Noise Reduction (ANR) or Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
  • Familiarity with adaptive filtering and statistical signal processing techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with acoustic testing, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Background in embedded DSP system design.
  • Understanding of mathematical modeling of physical systems, with a foundation in statistics or information theory being advantageous.
  • Strong written communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline; a PhD is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the specified qualifications.
