Key Responsibilities- Medical Collections: Manage and resolve medical collections in a timely and efficient manner.
- Customer Inquiries: Respond to inbound and outbound telephone inquiries, utilizing standard procedures and scripts to provide accurate and helpful information.
- Research and Resolution: Gather information, perform research, and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Communication and Escalation: Communicate options for resolution to customers and escalate issues as required.
- Scheduling and Prioritization: Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls, and escalate as required.
- Department Goals and Objectives: Assist in planning and implementing department goals and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or college degree from an accredited college or university, with two to five years of industry experience in medical revenue cycle management.
- Medical Experience: Practical or classroom knowledge of medical revenue cycle management, with a proven understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications, with the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
This is an office-based position, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods of time with frequent bending and stooping. Occasional lifting may be required up to 25 lbs.
