Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a portfolio of sophisticated wealth management clients, working closely with client service teams, clients, and their professional advisors to understand their needs and goals.
  2. Lead client conversations for goals-driven wealth management and holistic advice, providing proactive advice on Northern Trust's products and services, emerging issues, and regulatory changes.
  3. Maintain extensive knowledge of Northern Trust resources and utilize fiduciary knowledge to identify opportunities for relationship enhancement.
  4. Provide exceptional client service, responding to client inquiries, and communicating effectively through written and verbal communication.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and external professional advisors to grow the business.
  6. Travel to meet with clients as needed, considering revenue, new business opportunities, or servicing requirements.
  7. Teach and mentor less experienced partners, advising on fiduciary issues and serving as a subject matter expert on fiduciary relationships.
  8. Continuously develop fiduciary and advisory skills through training and experience.
  9. Exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions using sophisticated analytical thought.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of fiduciary and financial products and services, usually acquired through related work experience.
  • Specific experience with fiduciary accounts and issues required to service complex relationships.
  • Technical knowledge of investments, tax, legal, and operations, usually acquired through formal education or related experience.
  • Leadership and organizational skills to determine the Business Unit's goals.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
