POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary objective of this role is to deliver high-quality service and patient care in a professional and empathetic manner. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Evaluate each call situation to determine the most effective response and protocol.
* Employ medical equipment and techniques, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR, and other necessary interventions to provide advanced medical assistance.
* Deliver patient care in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety standards.
* Assist in lifting and transporting patients to ensure optimal care.
* Assume leadership responsibilities for scene and unit management as required.
* Maintain all necessary certifications continuously.
* Accurately document patient care activities and billing information to ensure comprehensive records for each call.
* Collaborate professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel.
* Report any incidents involving negative interactions with customers or patients to the on-duty supervisor immediately.
* Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond appropriately to treatment.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Adhere to information systems security policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

* Successfully pass the Physical Agility Test.
* Possess good physical stamina and endurance, capable of walking, standing, lifting, carrying, and balancing as needed.
* Ability to lift, drag, hoist, and carry various types of equipment and objects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification:

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED); advanced education is preferred.
* Valid California Drivers' License.
* State of California EMT License.
* CPR Certification (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider; handwritten cards are not acceptable).
* Completion of ICS courses:
o IS-100B (ICS 100)
o IS-200B (ICS 200)
o IS-700A (NIMS)
o IS-800B (NIMS)

Salary Range: $24.23 per hour, dependent on experience (This rate applies to 12-hour shifts and averages 42 hours per week).
