Registered Veterinary Technician - Neurology – Ethos Veterinary Health

Position Overview:
We are seeking a committed Veterinary Technician to enhance our Neurology department. Compensation includes a $3,000 Hiring Bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and apply neurological anatomy and physiology
  • Administer high-quality anesthetic induction, monitoring, and maintenance during surgical and imaging procedures
  • Calculate and prepare medication and fluid doses for hospitalized patients
  • Assist in surgical procedures and advanced imaging techniques
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placements, and urinary catheter placements
  • Conduct and recognize normal physical examination parameters in canine and feline patients
  • Document changes in patient behavior, attitude, and condition
  • Gather patient histories and assist during neurologic evaluations
  • Collaborate with the Neurologist to enhance patient care
  • Engage in client education and maintain accurate client and patient records using practice management software
  • Support rehabilitation efforts for paralyzed patients
  • Execute procedures that do not require veterinarian supervision
Compensation Details:
Compensation starts at $40.00/hr, with additional shift differentials and a $3000 hiring bonus for new full-time employees. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location.
Work Schedule:
  • Full-Time
  • 4/10 Schedule - Monday to Wednesday with an additional day each week
  • 1-2 Saturdays per month required
Essential Qualifications:
  • California RVT License
  • 3+ years experience in a specialty veterinary environment
  • Experience in neurology and anesthesia is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients
  • Reliable mathematical skills for drug dosage calculations and client invoicing
