The John Michael Kohler Arts Center seeks a skilled Annual Fund and Membership Manager to join its development team. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive membership and annual fund program, including direct mail, email, social media, and phone strategies to broaden, retain, and upgrade the member and donor bases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a hybrid annual fund and membership fundraising program to achieve growth and retention goals.
- Develop and execute an integrated donor and member communications and stewardship plan to foster a philanthropic connection.
- Manage and execute fundraising events, such as the biennial gala, to engage donors and members.
- Monitor and evaluate membership benefits, evolving the benefits strategy to meet member needs.
- Develop and manage the expense budget for membership, events, and annual fund.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or 4-8 years of equivalent experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in membership, annual fundraising, and events planning and execution.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, using data to inform planning and decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with customer relationship management software (Salesforce, Blackbaud, etc.).
Work Environment:
The position is office/art gallery based with a moderate noise level. Occasional work may be required inside or outside at events with moderate to loud noise levels.
Hours of work include daytime hours Monday-Friday and occasionally Saturday and Sunday to meet staffing and/or event needs.
