We are seeking a highly skilled Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in the Vancouver School District, WA. About the RoleIn this challenging yet rewarding position, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive behavioral support to students within the school system. Your expertise in conducting behavior assessments, developing tailored intervention plans, and collaborating with school staff will help create positive learning environments. By supporting students in achieving their behavioral goals, you will contribute to their academic success, social-emotional growth, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop tailored behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to address students' behavioral needs.
- Provide direct behavior support, implement interventions, and guide students in developing positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with school staff to track and analyze student progress, maintaining detailed records in compliance with school regulations.
- Work with school staff to integrate behavioral strategies, offering practical approaches for classroom management.
- Support crisis intervention efforts, teaching de-escalation techniques and assisting students during behavioral incidents.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), attending meetings and providing behavioral insights.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and teachers, offering guidance and resources to reinforce positive behaviors.
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- State licensure or certification, if required by the state's regulations for school-based BCBAs.
- Additional certification or training in areas such as crisis intervention or special education (preferred in some districts).
