Position Overview

We seek highly qualified pharmacists to deliver comprehensive pharmacy support within the Hospital Pharmacy Management Department. The pharmacist will oversee the operations of the inpatient pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, organize, and manage the pharmacy department's services.
  • Continuously assess and enhance pharmaceutical services while ensuring the effective use and management of medications throughout the hospital.
  • Collaborate with hospital stakeholders to develop, revise, and enforce pharmacy-related policies and procedures, which will be reviewed annually.
  • Ensure quality control across all pharmacy programs.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for medical staff regarding medications and related services.
  • Oversee and update the drug charge system and pharmaceutical services.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory maintenance for the pharmacy.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Must possess a degree from a pharmacy program accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education, holding either a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Current licensure in the State of Washington.
  • On-site coverage at the facility is required, with potential travel obligations.
  • Must reside in Central Washington.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and automated medication distribution systems.
  • Experience in a hospital setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, kneel, reach overhead, bend, open boxes, and stock shelves.
  • Must be able to drive for two or more hours.
