Key Responsibilities
- Utilize standard and advanced testing equipment to gather data for developmental projects and facility initiatives.
- Propose new areas for research and study.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations to effectively communicate findings.
- Analyze and manage data to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Assist leadership in developing proposals for additional testing and evaluation opportunities.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
- Participation in the direct deposit pay program is required.
- New hires must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Time-in-grade requirements must be satisfied by the closing date of this announcement.

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which includes:
Applying textile technology concepts related to the development of protective textiles and equipment. Examples of relevant experience include:
- Managing high-visibility projects;
- Operating testing equipment to ensure compliance with standards;
- Collaborating with various agencies and institutions;
- Analyzing data related to textile programs;
- Resolving complex technical issues.
Applicants must possess a degree in Physics or a related field with at least 24 semester hours in physics, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to this requirement.
