POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Group Fitness Instructor (GFI)
FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION: Pay Range is $21.00-$28.00 per hour DOE
National certification required.
GFIs are compensated at the class hourly rate as listed above and paid minimum wage for any preparation time or class time exceeding 60 minutes per class.

OUR MISSION
To deliver an outstanding member experience through enjoyable and uplifting fitness activities. Group Fitness Instructors are dynamic, knowledgeable leaders who inspire and elevate others through movement and community engagement in group fitness sessions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Consistently deliver an exceptional fitness experience to all studio members by embodying our UPLIFT core values.Ensure the Vasa Uplift Member Experience (VUME) is implemented in every class.Arrive punctually and prepared, ensuring the space is ready and members are welcomed on time.Safely and accurately demonstrate exercises and movements while actively monitoring members' performance during classes.Execute post-class procedures, including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing to maintain a safe and bright environment.Be approachable, professional, and engaging, providing excellent customer service by promptly addressing member needs and concerns.Possess knowledge and clear communication skills to teach safe and effective classes that cater to various fitness levels and abilities.Inspire and energize participants by fostering a community within classes that is inclusive, enjoyable, and supportive.Actively promote classes to retain existing participants and attract new ones.
