Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer/Project Manager to join our team at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. As a key member of our Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for providing technical and design expertise, as well as team leadership, in project management, design, building code requirements, and construction methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage moderate to large-scale projects, including office remodels, major construction renovations, and technical projects, with minimal oversight.
  • Develop construction documents using AutoCAD software and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and jurisdictional codes.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions, and manage the selection and procurement of professional consultants and contractors.
  • Initiate and oversee all project phases, including programming, design, scheduling, move coordination, procurement, contractor management, project monitoring, and close-out procedures.
  • Collaborate with and coordinate external architects, engineers, and consultants, and provide technical expertise and project oversight to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and jurisdictional codes.
  • Manage all project contracts, change orders, invoices, and standard project governance documents such as risk assessments, project charters, and approval memorandums.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, interior architecture, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in commercial-related architecture or interior design, including project management and space planning.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, and strong knowledge of building and life safety codes is essential.
  • Excellent understanding and interpretation of construction documents, including risk assessments, project charters, and approval memorandums, and knowledge of budget and accounting principles.
  • High level of initiative and ability to multitask, meeting deadlines efficiently.
Additional Information:

This is a full-time, regular position with a salary range of $63,600 to $110,900.
