Position Overview

As a Nail Care Specialist, you will deliver exceptional nail, hand, and foot services while adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism in alignment with Rancho Valencia's protocols and California State Board regulations. Your role is pivotal in ensuring a luxurious experience for our guests, showcasing your expertise in various nail techniques including French manicures and Shellac. A commitment to cleanliness and sanitation is essential, alongside a willingness to learn and adapt to our exclusive treatment offerings. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively tailor nail care programs to meet the unique needs of each guest. A valid California state license is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional nail services in a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment, ensuring guest satisfaction and privacy.
  • Adhere to Rancho Valencia's service protocols and maintain Forbes 5-star standards in all treatments.
  • Manage inventory of necessary products in the treatment area to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workspace after each service and at the end of the shift, preparing for subsequent appointments.
  • Ensure all manicure tools are sanitized and maintained to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Punctually attend scheduled shifts, warmly welcoming guests and providing timely treatments.
  • Exhibit flexibility in your schedule to accommodate varying demands for nail services.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor, complying with grooming standards at all times.
  • Prepare treatment rooms according to established protocols, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all spa treatments, including their indications and contraindications, and actively promote spa offerings and retail products.
  • Care for equipment responsibly and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and team meetings to enhance service delivery.
  • Engage in safety programs and adhere to all safety protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Support community service and sustainability initiatives as part of Rancho Valencia's commitment to the environment.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding any staff or guest-related concerns.
  • Maintain a positive work environment through collaboration and a constructive attitude.
  • Assist in various spa operations as directed by management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current California State Board License.
  • Effective communication skills in English with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Availability to work during holidays, mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent need to perform physical activities such as reaching, bending, and lifting.
  • Constant requirement for fine motor skills and dexterity.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry weights up to 25 lbs.
  • Vision and hearing capabilities to perform essential job functions.

Compensation

$32 per Hour + Commission
