Position Overview

The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) is in search of a Child Welfare Support Specialist. Our organization has a long-standing commitment to assisting vulnerable communities, particularly refugees and immigrants, in their journey towards successful integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver culturally attuned assistance to unaccompanied minors and their guardians.
  • Create personalized support plans and carry out ongoing evaluations.
  • Keep precise documentation and ensure the provision of essential services.
  • Build a resource network and facilitate access to legal support.
  • Engage in training opportunities and work alongside essential partners.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Preferred experience with immigrant communities and social service frameworks.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving history, with the capacity to travel.
  • Fluency in Haitian Creole is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

Training Expectations:

  • Completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training programs.
  • Participation in mandatory training sessions and supplementary workshops as required.
