Role Summary:
As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will deliver essential services aimed at identifying, preventing, and rehabilitating physical dysfunction or discomfort. Your expertise will involve evaluating patients and implementing therapeutic interventions, utilizing physical and chemical modalities, exercise regimens, and providing education to patients and their families to enhance functional independence. You will engage with diverse patient populations, including children, adults, and seniors, across various treatment settings.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough physical therapy assessments, demonstrating precision and skill.
2. Develop and execute individualized treatment plans, employing appropriate techniques and equipment as per your specialization.
3. Educate patients and their families, ensuring they understand the therapeutic process.
4. Participate in peer evaluations and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
5. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
6. Initiate and manage discharge planning for patients.
7. Engage in ongoing professional development, completing a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education annually and providing in-service training to colleagues.
8. Offer comprehensive clinical training to students.
9. Mentor junior staff members, guiding their professional growth.
10. Assist in the orientation and training of support personnel.
11. Adhere to all compliance protocols relevant to your role.
12. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:
Required: Experience in treating patients with neurological disorders.
Minimum Experience: Bachelor's degree and at least one year of relevant experience.

Preferred: Certification in Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) for inpatient rehabilitation settings. CPR certification.

Location: Danbury
Work Type: Per Diem
Standard Hours: 2.00
Work Schedule: Day/Eve 8
Work Shift: Variable schedule including weekend rotation.


Essential Credentials:
* Licensed Physical Therapist


Educational Requirements:
* Bachelor's Level Degree


Working Conditions:
* Requires significant manual dexterity and coordination.
* Involves considerable occupational risk.
* May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Exposure to various environmental factors.
