Pulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist

At Danbury Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team. As a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients with pulmonary disease manage their condition and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pulmonary rehabilitation program education and exercise classes to patients with chronic lung disease.
- Oversee the alumni maintenance exercise program and provide airway clearance sessions as needed.
- Perform 6 Minute Walk Tests and maintain accurate records.
- Fulfill all compliance and database responsibilities related to this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Department leadership.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- State of Connecticut license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions:
- Medium to heavy physical effort required.
- Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
