Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement pulmonary rehabilitation programs for patients with chronic lung disease
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and self-care
- Conduct 6-minute walk tests and other assessments to monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Meet compliance and database requirements for the position
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in respiratory care or pulmonary rehabilitation
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- State of Connecticut license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
This role requires manual dexterity, occupational risk, and physical effort. The working environment may involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
