Join Danbury Hospital's team of dedicated healthcare professionals as a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist. In this role, you will work closely with patients to develop personalized exercise programs and provide education on managing chronic pulmonary disease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement pulmonary rehabilitation programs for patients with chronic lung disease
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and self-care
  • Conduct 6-minute walk tests and other assessments to monitor patient progress
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Meet compliance and database requirements for the position
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in respiratory care or pulmonary rehabilitation
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • State of Connecticut license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working Conditions:

This role requires manual dexterity, occupational risk, and physical effort. The working environment may involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
