Clinical Business Analyst

The Clinical Business Analyst will work with users to provide software support services, understanding clinical and business workflows, documenting functional requirements, executing test scripts, and user acceptance testing. This role is primarily focused on the Epic Optime, Anesthesia, Cupid, ASAP, and Pheonix applications. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting several internally developed applications that integrate with Epic.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality service to users, according to defined service level agreements.
* Create and run reports as needed using tools such as Epic Reporting Workbench.
* Document and analyze business processes and workflows to help drive business process improvements and ensure accurate system configuration.
* Assist with developing and executing user acceptance testing plans, including creation of test cases.
* Communicate status of various team efforts to leadership and other stakeholders, including preparing presentations in collaboration with senior staff.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree required.
* 3+ years of healthcare information technology experience.
* A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
* Epic experience in one of the above clinical applications desired.
* Experience in the development, support, or operation of software applications in a healthcare setting.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
* Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to learn quickly.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions.
Work Environment
The Clinical Business Analyst will primarily function in a support-based role, working with end-users through day, overnight, and weekend call on a rotating basis. The primary application supported will be Epic Optime/Anesthesia, Epic Cupid, Epic ASAP, Epic Pheonix, Reporting Workbench, and any complementary/vendor applications supported by the Departmental team. The employee is expected to travel to Mass General Brigham sites and may also require travel for training. On-call coverage is expected as business needs dictate.
