As a Compensation Operations Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the payroll processes for a dynamic energy company that delivers electricity and natural gas to millions of customers across the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise comprehensive payroll operations for a workforce exceeding 5000 employees across various states.
- Ensure the precise and timely execution of payroll updates, including onboarding new employees, processing terminations, and adjusting pay rates.
- Address and resolve any issues related to payroll production effectively.
- Guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, wage laws, and best practices.
- Facilitate audits by supplying necessary records and documentation to auditors.
- Identify opportunities for enhancements in payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Perform payroll processing tasks as required.
- Accurately manage wage garnishments, leaves of absence, and workers' compensation claims.
- Prepare and manage reports for senior management and the finance department.
- Collaborate closely with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, ideally within a large corporate environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll processing, time management, and familiarity with Oracle HCM and ADP systems.
- Extensive knowledge of wage garnishments, multi-state payroll, and payroll taxation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
