Job Overview

The Community Health Nurse is a key member of our team, responsible for providing clinical and health education services to our clients, as well as supporting the overall functioning of our clinic. This role requires a unique blend of clinical expertise, administrative skills, and community outreach experience.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Services: Provide support during clinic hours, assist patients with complicated medical problems, and work with providers to manage patient cases.
  • Health Education: Develop and implement health education programs, provide teaching on medical devices, and support front desk staff and the health resource room.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with credentialing and privileging of practitioners, develop and coordinate training sessions on risk management and safety protocols, and represent the organization in coalitions promoting public health.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be a licensed RN in Washington, DC.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish, Amharic, or Mandarin is preferred.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient in Google Organization & Productivity Tools (Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar) and/or willing to learn new technology systems.
Benefits
