About the Role

In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and executing store operations with precision. You will efficiently process freight, replenishment, and omnichannel operations to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process product shipments, including unloading truck deliveries and executing stockroom operations and omnichannel fulfillment
  • Replenish the sales floor as necessary based on sell-through and seasonal changes to maintain an attractive and well-stocked store environment
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services to create a positive and memorable shopping experience
  • Execute all product protection standards to prevent loss and maintain a secure store environment
  • Participate in the training process for new hires on Kohl's brand standards, product knowledge, inventory procedures, productivity standards, tools, and resources as directed by store leadership
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and foster teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture to promote a positive work environment
  • Exercise good judgment and discernment when making decisions, taking appropriate action as needed to resolve issues and improve store operations
  • Demonstrate a customer service mindset, anticipating customer needs and satisfactorily resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support point-of-sale and customer service departments to deliver speed of service transactions while creating a compelling customer experience
  • Meet or exceed individual goals, such as productivity, credit, and loyalty, to contribute to the success of the store
  • Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes to maintain a productive and efficient work environment
  • Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Maintain adherence to company safety policies for the safety of all associates and customers
  • Receive, understand, and proactively respond to direction from supervisors/managers and other company personnel to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the store

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
  • Verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
  • No retail experience required, but a willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment
  • Must be 16 years of age or older to meet the minimum age requirement
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the store

Preferred Qualifications

  • Client-facing retail or service industry experience to bring valuable skills and knowledge to the role

Essential Functions

  • Ability to perform the accountabilities listed in the 'Key Responsibilities' section
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs to ensure knowledge and skills are up-to-date
  • Ability to comply with dress code requirements to maintain a professional and consistent appearance
  • Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation to perform tasks efficiently
  • Ability to operate and communicate on multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
  • Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements as set by the company
  • Ability to withstand exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including stockroom operations, truck unloading, etc.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs. with a two-person lift
  • Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull on a frequent basis
  • Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise
  • Ability to comply with health and safety standards
