Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at JBS USA Holdings, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supervising technician team members, providing leadership and direction to the plant maintenance tech department, and ensuring the smooth operation of all production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise technician team members and provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance tech department
  • Supervise day-to-day repairs of electrical and/or electronic components on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Develop and implement preventative electrical maintenance programs, order parts and materials, and maintain and organize inventory
  • Manage repairs and preventive maintenance on all weighing equipment within the plant, ensuring daily calibration checks are done according to standards
  • Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and associated systems, including instrumentation, motor control circuits, alarms systems, and scales
  • Control all new equipment installation and conduct wiring
  • Supervise, plan, and implement maintenance activities in the plant to maximize production while adhering to standard safety practices and procedures
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment
  • Participate in plant HAZMAT team
  • Schedule and direct workforce, assigning projects to appropriate personnel and track attendance
  • Conduct safety meetings and safety audits
  • Manage maintenance tech department costs within budgetary guidelines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or technical schooling degree with mechanical or electrical emphasis
  • 2 years' directly related tech experience necessary
  • Previous supervisory position preferred
  • Welding and electrical experience required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, flexible hours, and some weekends
  • Ability to write and speak English
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills, with ability to manage conflict
  • Ability to lift upwards of 60 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Knowledge of HACCP
